@Code-121 Yes you're right, the ZF sound on this Iveco is cleanest but I don't like it I don't really like Iveco's. I wanted to put the closest ZF sound on the MAN D92 so I'm using a NL202 which sounds clear enough.
I understand. Then good job, I can't wait for release.

Well that sound is so unusual to what I am used to it sounds good though, just need to be slower but the upcoming mod update should solve that!! Now I must ask, does the torque converter lock up in 1st gear or does it lock up in 2nd gear? In that last youtube recording it locks up in 1st gear, yet the mod, it locks up in 2nd gear. The script could easily be programmed to lock up in the 1st gear, though. I might as well release yet another version of the ZF mod soon, though. I have rework the acceleration from a standstill up to maybe 50 km/h.

On my mod ? recently I rework the gear selectors on the ZF 4HP-500 (Pre 1985) and the ZF 4HP-500 Second Edition (Post 1985). If you select "2", the bus will start out in the second gear but remain in the second gear. This is perfect in the snow and gives out more intiail traction. Done some minor scripting tweaks as usual.

Hi! I see there are a lot of different varieties of ZF gearboxes. Here, in Spain, ZF gearboxes sound completely different, and now I'll show you 3 examples of three different ZF gearboxes (ZF6HP502, ZF6HP592, ZF6HP604) on the same chassis (Mercedes-Benz OC500):
All of them have the same configuration: 6-speed with the first doubled (one mechanical and one hydraulic). Would be any possibility to have them as a variant of the one already existing?

We also have the Mercedes-Benz OC 500 LE in Perth in three variants.
In other parts of the country, you can also find the OC 500 LE 1825h (Euro 3) with ZF 5 HP 502 or 6 HP 502.

Hi! I've just heard all your recordings and...I'd love to hear some more After having heard them, I have just a thought: All my recordings belong to HP592 gearboxes, no HP502 or HP604...could this be possible?

502/504, 592/594 and 602/604 are the same (the last digit denotes the transmission generation - 2 is for Ecomat 2 and 4 is for Ecomat 4) except that the 50x transmissions can take a maximum of 1100Nm of torque, 59x can take 1250Nm, and 60x can take 1400Nm/1600Nm/1700Nm (depending on generation). The 60x transmissions are strengthened and can sound different to the 50x and 59x.

Hi! Yes, that is what I understood after some explanations from anyone here (I don't remember exactly, maybe @krtz07?), but ZF transmissions in Australian buses sound very different from ours. If you heard those I've posted earlier, you can see this differences.
Thank you for your comment!

If there will be an articulated Bus in the future (e.g. MAN NG 272), I'd love to hear it with an ZF-Transmission.
Here in my city, the local Bus-Company ordered only Busses with ZF-Transmission (until the first Citaro came in 2002)
Here is (I think) wonderful example with full throttle:

Wie ist es möglich den D92 mit dem ZF Getriebe als KI zu generieren? Die KI Bussse sollen auch mit dem ZF Getriebe fahren, allerdings nicht alle D92 nur ein paar.
How can I integrate the D92 with the ZF gearbox into the KI traffic? Not all KI-D92 should have the ZF gearbox only a few.

No please do not do anything additional until I have responded, it works on my OMSI with all of the files intacted. None of the default files of OMSI were never overwritten. If the files which I have issued in an update does not work then the fault is more then likely an missing file. Again, sorry about that.
For this update, it contents needs to be extracted into the \Omsi\Vehicles directory as usual.
It is extremely important that all of the files are extracted.
Musste auch erst suchen.

Yes, but how? I don't understand it.. .Also I've tried to delete the 5th and 6th gear, so that the bus only has four - it worked, but then, when I stopped the bus, the engine stopped. It would be nice if anyone could help me

LOL, all you guys have to do is ask, Also in the upcoming version, 0.7.2, there will be a power reduction in 1st-3rd gear on the D2066 engine power bus. The Automatic Neutral at Standstill is now program to kick in 25 seconds after the bus as been as idle versus the 1 second default. Both of these features combine will eliminate the wheel slipping. Also I will include a 4HP-502, 5HP-502, 6HP-502 with the default engine on the D89, as mentioned above the only difference is that these transmission requires engines with less torque. Made a AI file for the D92 so far, the AI now works as it should for the most part. The D92_ZFs should be AI ready.
I have reworked the downshift to make the transmission downshifts smoother then in any transmission available in OMSI so far. Weaken the retarder strength by 50%. There are quite a few more changes, but the jest of them is make the downshift much more smoother.
On the SD83 ZF front, I rework the transmsision so that if #2 on the transmission pad is select, the bus will start out in 2nd gear. Some other changes as well.

What does "-N" stand for on the end of some Ecomat models?
krtz07 schrieb:

The bus will then cut out though
They don't work like that, if you press "2" then it just stops the bus going ABOVE 2nd - if it is in 3rd it will kick down to 2nd even if it's not safe to do so. It will still start in 1st if you press 2... it will go 1, 2, then stay in 2. If you slow down it will change down to 1.
It's also really annoying in-game, if you are about to change into 2nd and then you press 1, it still changes to 2nd unless you did it quite a few seconds before. It's like a delay before the 1 interlock kicks in (this is with the default buses though).
