Hello all!
First of all: What a amazing work you done KRTZ07 Congratulations!
Second: I'm working on the D92 adding more ZF-characteristic sounds and by now I got this:

Yes they're, and I love them! By now I added the 2-1 and 2-2 gear change, they sound quite good (yes, they do, to be my first sound-mod). I'm not gonna work on them anymore because there will be more versions and patches of these Gearboxes (I hope) so when everything is correct and done I'll continue
I just wanted to play OMSI with the D92 more-realistic ZF sounds.
Maybe I'll upload them later

Well i found out through the 1000 or so buses in my area now with the ZF transmission that there is no true single characteristic of the ZF sound. It is whatever it is, that is one thing I liked about the ZF. Our repowered Cummins ISLs whine sounds different then the whine on the Cummins ISL delivered buses. The DD50/ZF whine sounded different versus the other two. The D92 released accelerates just like our repowered Cummins ISLs - drivers try to grab those buses first before grabbing one with an DD50 Allison B-400R combination. The 1st and 2nd gears has an torque limiter in place on the ZF transmission.
the way I have it setup, if you couple this transmission to the default engine, the whine would sound a tad different. I tried using the default engine and the bus was pretty dogged out. But I may release it as a standalone type of thing.
Just in hindsight view, those sounds were actually taking off of an 6HP-602 transmission. That is one steep higher and the engine output torque is greater producing that whine sound. The recording gave me the rightaway of making the ZF whine so decided to make the whine. The upshift sound was made by Omsiki. If someone has an ZF whine from an actual 6HP-592 transmisison, let me know. The whine has to be constant for a few seconds with the sound of the engine not clouding up the noise. so basically, the bus needs to be going up hill, or the driver is not flooring it for an few seconds.

It sounds so nice, really great and let me think about my favourite bus (NL202). Good old days.. Please do release this as a mod for you D92 with pneumatic doors... It would be so great! But this mod sounds also not bad. I really like this sound but I miss my pneumatic doors on D92..

This is awesome, love the 6 speed. However, each gear feels a bit too long still... on the flat in a Volvo B7RLE we can get into 5th gear easily in around 6-8 seconds (at around 40mph?). Engine is 290hp.

I gave the bus taller ratios to somehow compensate for the large amount of torque on the engine and bus weight. Also believe it or not, our overhaul Zfers apparently has the same exact gearing. I used it on the D89 which has gear selector buttons and the top speed for each gear is like that on our 2004 New Flyers retrofits.
The gearing on SEPTA's overhaul 2004 New Flyers goes like this 8mph: 1st to 2nd gear top speed ~ 15 mph 20mph: 2nd to 3rd gear top speed for 2nd ~ 26 mph 30mph: 3rd to 4th gear top speed for 3rd ~ 37 mph 40mph: 4th to 5th top speed for 4th is 55mph- i was shocked when a driver was playing with the gears and attained this speed 52mph:5th to 6th top speed for 5th ~ 63 0mph but that is out of govern range.
Like I said before, thanks to LBSS those shiftpoints drastically change.
The gears are longer then what was original specified on these units when they had the Detroit Diesels. I guess the agency did not want to have rolling lawsuits on their hands and specified lower ratios so the torque per gear would be lesser. These Cummins ISL engines which these buses have are powerful!! The rating is 280 HP, but there could be some debate if they are rated even higher then that.
Well in either way, I am going to release a minor spin-off of the 6 speed transmission. The ZF 6HP-502, which is basically like the 6HP-592 but the max input values are different. What I will do is couple it to the default engine and place it onto the D89 and up the shiftpoints to 1850 to composite and also higher the final ratio to 5.29 or 5.50.

With this new mod, the driving is very difficult. Especially the acceleration from 0-20 Km/h is extremly rough and difficult to measure. In my opinion the transmission also brakes to much.

@Code-121 Yes you're right, the ZF sound on this Iveco is cleanest but I don't like it I don't really like Iveco's. I wanted to put the closest ZF sound on the MAN D92 so I'm using a NL202 which sounds clear enough.
