the sound of the sd92 is loosely based off of an recording of a ecomat II on an artic, good luck getting the whine to sound right on the Sd92, I have been trying but the result is within the package files...
What I have know is that the whine sound should not exceed more then a second, and also the volume should not exceed over 1, otherwise the sound would be sound spotty as the m_wheel and axle volume increases.
the idea really is to get the whine sound by itself, so I tried using harmonics, that actually came out pretty well. have not implemented it to the package files though because it is still being tweaked.

Is it possible to create a wonderful ZF sound for the Mercedes O405 N2?
It is OMSI after all, so it is possible! No idea what year that Mercedes O405 N2 is though, The ZF transmission which it used is from an very early version of the mod, perhaps the first version. If the Model is after 1986, then the model gets a Ecomat I transmission. I do have a whine harmonic sound though, the frequency (HZ), axle rpm, etc can all be modified to make it sound like the Mercedes O405 N2 sound. But it is going to get hours to get things to sound correct though, and there may need to be an overlapping sound to make it sound correct, not to mentioned that the script, not the consist file, may need to changes done to it as well.
How do i extract a indicator sound from a SL200 recording i downloaded a few years back so i can put on SD83 bus and also the foot brake pressure sound on the SD 88-92 which is already in omsi i would like to put on SD83 bus as the sound was used on the Adelaide SL200 MAN
For D92 SL202 will the sounds come from a diesel or CNG SL202, I have recordings of a turbo fitted ZF CNG SL202 (Not my recording though) it has a nice whine as our city has Voith and ZF Diesels and CNG ZF SL202

My plan is to extract the gearbox noise from a CNG variant but the engine sounds from a diesel variant.

I know that it is very complicated. But would you try it ?

Complicated is an understatement, try an extremely tedious procedure.
Well I am going to upload the files which I am currently working on with an harmonic wave file for the Ecomat II. If someone can recreated the ZF and it is good, then I will incorporate it onto the ZF mod. I am not going to waste too much time in sound editing!!! The frequency of this wave sound can be adjusted, so if the pitch is too high or too low, this can be adjusted. I have incorporated used this sound successfully on the Ecomat - First variant. Ironically, nothing needed to be changed, albeit that sound came out clearer because the whine sound is just an whine sound - not noised up with an engine in the background.

The O 405N² was build from 1994 to 2001. But it has a ZF 4HP/5HP gearbox. The Ecomat Gearbox came first to the Citaro in 1998.

Correct, 'our' O405G's from 2001 still had a ZF5HP500 gearbox.

Thema: Der Ordner "Addon buses Files" aus dem Ordner "Readme" - WOHIN damit?!! Mi 20 Jul - 9:55
Hallo!

I have only one question. I saw that you made a ZF 6HP 502 gearbox. Now i working on a bus ARC134 which has ZF 6HP 504C gearbox. I found an info that the difference between the 2 gearbox is ~ 10 years, but in a hungarian forum i got an info that the transmission is the same. Can you help me to make this gearbox or i can use the 502 too? Or what is the difference between 502 and 504C? the website of ZF can help in this case?

Totally the same. But krtz07 wrote that too. My next task is to record sounds of the gearbox and retarder. It is a little bit hard because KXG-163 is inappropriate ( high background noise) so i have to search 162 or 164 but their drivers are unfamiliar for me. Tomorrow i am working too, but Tuesday is free.

Thema: Re: ZF Ecomat/Ecolife Transmission Script 1.00 RC9 Mo 22 Aug - 14:43
@krtz07: I've been messing around with the ZF gearbox but there is 1 problem left I just can't solve. I've edited the gearboxes a bit and now I'm struggling with the kickdown from 3rd to 2nd gear. How can I get the gearchange back to 2nd nice and smooth? Thanks..

which transmission? Well you have to make sure that the driveshift-upshift rpm of the previous gear is greater then the kickdown-downshift rpm of the next gear.
