Sounds
-D2866 sounds are now included on the D28 buses
-D86 now sounds like one of SEPTAs older Neoplan An440 buses made between the years of 1986-1989 (6v92 engine/ZF 4HP-500) -Redone the sounds in general, in RC9 or Version 1, further tweaking will occur. -D2066 engine is now simulated, no sounds for this engine, yet.
engine related: --Turbocharged engines, D08, D28, and D20 are now turbocharged - An Power loss of 85% is now initially realized in the torque curve. Gear efficiency is back at 95%.
Script related:
-SD83 which has the ZF transmission no longer exist, the SD83 with the earlier ZF is still there. The SD83 has been replaced by the SD86 since the transmission it uses is based off of the transmission made after 1986
-Redone the retarder, the torque which the retarder uses is based upon the amount of brake that is applied as opposed having the brake being slightly pressed and the retarder engaged fully. The result is an much more smoother braking pattern. It is really hard to have complaining passengers now.
-Ratios for the earlier version of the Ecomat-I dub 1986 has the 2.81 ratios. Etc....(SD86)
-Each gearchange gets an throttle cut which happens between 20-30 milliseconds
-If lock up type 2 is selected, lock up in 2nd gear under normal shifting patterns, and if the bus is slowing down, then the bus will lock up within the 1st gear to regain speed. This is prototypical to the many ZF buses which i have ridden on through the years.
-Downshift of the Ecomat II is way more smoother then on the RC7 of the script and previous versions. The gear change occurs more rapid and fast. The throttle is automatically blipped on downshifts!
-Topodyn script has been but on hold and has been disabled on all units until the height variable has been realized or further perfection of the script.
-ZF Ecolife now upshifts smooth, even on the AP1700/AP2000 transmisison
Here the same: D86 doesn't work D89 doesn't work D92 Ecomat II D08 doesn't have any Sounds D92 Ecolife D08 doesn't work D92 Ecolife D2066 the gear buttons are a white block and any Vehicle or something with a sound is in the near of this bus silent, that means with no sound.

Anybody Know how can fix the D86 & D89 ZF showing as invisible bus as the default works??
Well this morning prior from releasing RC8, I have wiped the vehicles directory for omsi clean and dump an backup original copy of the vehicles directory into its place. Then I have extracted the RC8 files into it and everything loaded up. So I have no idea what is causing that issue on your computer.
I have'nt installed update yet is the singing ZF SD83 based off the SL200 still included is update or is that SD83 ecolife II which was going to be removed
just installed the re issued RC8 ZF83 4hp500 has more realistic whine but i had to use my old sound files RC7 errors soundDU something comes with the 2 new sound whine files also you can start from 2nd but you can't manual shift 1-2-D-2-D like before you could thrash out each gear also at 50km the bus seem to struggle to find the last gear bus seem feels like it loses power goes quiet but speedo reading is the same and then it slams last gear and picks up speed with gear bad slippage just like one of our old SL200 with a unmaintained gearbox i can hub more clearly also how do i put a volvo B10M sound with this Zf83 gearbox script as someone has done a voith version with a B10M engine Have not edited any script files except mercedes new and i backed up my vehicle sd202 sd200 files from RC7 Good Job keep it up

Well the script does not go too well with other modified scripts to the original script disturbed by M&R, which seems to be the case of your lights bug. Or it could be that the script could be installed in the wrong directory. I wonder if anyone else has that error..... I never encourtered that error nor did I touch any script outside of the engine and transmission script.

The script works for me with no problem at all! Thanks for these scripts krtz07! It really makes the driving more interesting, specially on the maps with long roads and highways!

Well, for now I'm testing this new version of this mod and I'm liking it, at least the D92 with both ZF Ecomat and Ecolife aren't that dodgy, but here's my opinion and problem:
- Problem: the SD83 ZF, when pressing the R to reverse the bus, the engine goes off; same thing for the 3 versions of the D92 Ecolife, not only the engine goes off when pressing the R, but yes when you use the break, the engine goes off when stopping; there's also a missing D89 (it says "Data not found")(EDIT: it was on the wrong directory, sorry ); - Opinion: the D92 Ecomat buses' new sound are not good and the D86 with the Neoplan AN440 is a bit quiet at the outside.

Thanks for the new version of the script, I'm not really convinced about the new engine sounds, but I really love the D89 ZF!

I have Made some tweaks to the sounds all credits goes to the authors, but the d2866 which I have used are from this clip, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1m7Po9G-RU and the other https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjZowxRrWUc. I have made some enhancements with some more higher RPM sounds which I will release shortly as RC9. But I really do not know what to say, I never ridden on any buses with the Man D2866, I offer anyone to do their own sounds of the 2866 but I doubt that the sound will vary too much since the audio in that recording is clear.

G'day all,
I have again revised the gearshift programme for the D28 EcoLife. Please download, test and comment.
There are certain constraints in the simulation that are currently impeding my progress - conflicts between kickdown points between gears means that under some conditions (especially in 6th gear), the kickdown function may result in a downchange of two gears instead of one. Additionally, it would be ideal if a kickdown into 1st gear would result in the hydraulic portion of that gear being held for at least half a second. Based on those and other constraints, I think I have made the best compromise for the time being.

Those who drive on hilly maps will need to set the final drive ratio to 6.2:1 for a better experience.

After further experimentation, I have decided to change the target engine speed from 900-1300rpm to 1000-1450rpm. It makes all the difference. Upgrade Pack updated and re-uploaded!

I like the D28 new ecolife sounds but my stop bell won't ring no matter whatever i replaced the files even 3D transport studio files and instruction i even re-stalled OMSI. The bus i have a bell sound is SD84r Also i changed the i whine back to an eariler version of whine sound on SD834hp500 as the bus was sounding to beefy. I would like to know how to script gears changes to sound like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3puPqKf1iY This bus did not scream like this when new i noticed a few other sounded like this but then were changed back like exactly as this script has it Do you have sound from the stop bell snd from MAN midi STM2001 i think it is Love your guys work

Hi Krt07! Great work! I've a question for you: can it be possible, when the retarder is on, to reproduce de classic sound "fffftt" when the gear downshifts? Thank you, and compliments again!
