but wow the kickdown function is now soooooooooo sensitive, a lot of fun
Did not know it was fixed! In fact all I changed was the consist file and done some very minor edits to the script file. On my verison of omsi, the brake sounds plays, however, the louder braking screech does not play until the bus reaches 2kph!! It sounds like a bell or something!! Not too sure what the cause of that is! I am taking a look at the brake script right now to see how that is all setup.

One word, fantastic! Amazing sound. En top speed is very very fast. The loud gear change. ooooow i really love it. One thing I don't like the ecolife. Sorry but thats me And i find it moan, that there are no downshift. Great work krtz07

would you mind also checking the strange retarder sound played when the bus is stopped?
After solving these minor problems, it's flawless

The setting of ecolife is quite subject to the elevation of the road... 'early'-shifting always occurs when running on horizontal roads but the gear will be locked up to a higher rpm when the bus is climbing hill...( even the bus is originally without kickdown function)
I think the sensitivity would be a big obstacle for script...

Topodyn, not implemented on the ZF ecolife yet. I do have the topodyn script in Zf ecolife script though, but currently it is not active. I noticed on braking, that topodyn boots the RPMs slightly up as well. However, I only ridden on two units with the ecodeath!!
I am not a huge fan of the ecolife either, however, that is how it is and I am consulting with someone who drive's the ZF ecolifes daily. Going to see what else can be done.
Well currently I had to downgrade versions of the Ecolife down to the 6AP1000, the 6AP1200 apparently makes each upshift is too torquey for that kind of engine. The engine used is the MAN D0834. Thought it was a perfect compromise between the weak D2566 and the torquey Man 2866. Once I downgraded to the 6AP1000, the upshifts are more smoother.

No, all Automatic.
The Bus with the D0834 Enginge is sometimes Overrevving.

Actually I had to tweak the kickdown to shift at an tad higher rpm. Now set it to shift where the engine horsepower is at it's highest, 2300RPM. Not too sure if that is prototypical or not. Buses around here are not speced out with that kind of feature, or it only gets activated while going up the hills. I have read that there is an performance mode of the kick-down as well as the economy mode of the kick-down. Only the version of the transmission gets down rated, nothing else really changed. The shifts within the 1st gear on the AP1200 were a little too sharp.
I might release intermediate updates between Rc 6 and Rc 7 though. So that the download size would not be at 5MB. The immediate updates would require that Rc 6 would be installed though. Now remember, the ZF mod is still in beta mode.

Patch 1 for Rc6 - Requires Rc6. Decided to release gradually patches to the last main version (Rc6) instead of releasing another 5MB file in such a short time frame.
-slippage on downshift will no longer occur for 99% of the rapid downshifts - fixed normal shift points, they will shift around 1350 RPM, downshift into back around 1300RPM if the throttle is nearly down to the ground. - kickdown point has now been set to 2300 RPM; sorry scania_n270ub, I am not decreasing any values - Downgraded to the Ap1000 of the ZF Ecolife transmission. The upshift coupling torque between the gears on the 1200 was too much for the bus of this weight and engine.
Todo list:
- Still not satisfied with the omission of the topodyn of the Ecolife and Ecomat, going to slowly re-implement that into OMSI. going to give a existing bus without the kick-down topodyn sensitive points, just to illustrate how the America units perform. Also going to give the Ecolife normal-shifting points topodyn shifting programming as well. As what harry7430 cited.
-Soften the downshift on the Ecomat II - decrease coupling torque from 500 down to 200, that will make for a less torquey downshift. -Need gear whine sounds for the Ecomat I. Something that is consistent and to the point - no engine sounds overclouding it. -Implement more shift sounds for both the Ecomat I and II
-Become more familiarized with the code and less dependent on knowing when the SDK will be released

wow can't wait for updated version of ecolife(or ecodeath )
and something about change of RPM when braking in ecolife... you've mentioned the right point Buses with ZF ecolife here do have some kind of boosting up RPM when gear is downshifted during braking perhaps it's for more controllable braking? idea should be the same when you lock the gear when going down from a hill so that the bus would keep at a higher RPM
not a specialist in ecolife... just to share performance of buses here

Hello, I do not understand the thread. What is the latest version for the MAN SD202? Does this mod only for the SD200 bus? On almost every page, a download link can be found. Who should understand that yet? I hope someone can help me.

The mod is for both SD200 and SD202, and the latest version can always be found at the last few pages of the topic.. and now the latest version is 1.00RC6

Did get acceleration/load based shift points implemented onto the ZF ecolife in the normal up-shifting range. As it stands now, it is based off of the acceleration and the load. So the more people who step onto the bus, the slightly higher the shift points will be. Going to see if I can add a factor so that if the height changes at a certain rate, that the transmission will detect it and downshift.

I have tried to set the D92 with ZF 6HP592 D2066 to be the AI busses. But somehow the busdrivers can't drive that bus.. I often see, that the busses are stopped in the middle of the road, and they can't drive until i go to the bus.. Do you maybe have a solution?
