Here are the files as they stand right now, just an little disclaimer, Only the sounds on the D92 has been reworked with the gear whine. i did done some engine wave file editing on the SD_83 post-1985 ZF transmission retrofit to drop the gearwhine sound which apparently was in the engine. The Man 2566MUH idle sounds were provided by powerbycng. I have open up audacity and try to get some intermediate sounds by using the change of speed function for 770 and 1332 rpm. This is my first time trying to dive into sound editing for OMSI. Have not done much more heavy sound working on the Second generation of the 4HP-500 just yet.
Some of the Sd92 ZF Ecomat II sounds were provided by omsikenli. Apparently the sound file provided was made of that of an bus going up an steep in climb. All which OMSI needed was a few seconds of the constant gearwhine sound on a higher ratio gear.. eg..gear two. Then tell the simulator to specified the volume and axle position of the noise in each gear. All of the values needs to be relative to the engine rpm though. Long story short, it sounds like something in the ZF family. Decided to do more work on this transmission because around here in the Northeast, roughly 320 buses in my local transportation agency has this transmission. I purposely gave the bus an lower final drive ratio in the 4 range, some may argue it is too low, however, I purposely done that since the transmission is couple to an powerful Man D2866 engine. The high torque and lower rpm shift speeds make things smooth. Further down the line, maybe after verison 1.0, I will add LBSS shifting to this transmission. Hopefully the SDK will be release sometime soon, so I can get a good handle on the system variables. If there is an variable or function for change in height or gradient of the road, i would want to utilized that.
The retarder has been reworked on all three of the transmissions, no sounds for it yet but the retarder on the Voith sounds similar. The retarder now takes 5 seconds to fully kick in, however, the braking is just as good yet it is extremely smooth. since I have started test driving the D92, my overall percentage of driving went from 30% up to 100% extremely fast. The Voith retarder start sounds has been removed, but I have retained the base sound for now.
krtz07 for the engine sounds did you use my MAN D2866 sounds? I had got a modern axle sound aswell, so it will be interesting to here if yours is better (I'm sure it will be )

I have exactly the same problem!

Just got round to copying the files in to OMSI folder and now OMSI won't start - it says Command error in script for all the .osc files of the MAN SD202.

Ok sorry about that, there were numinous of missing files that were in the update. That is what happens when you issued updates at 1AM in the morning!! So as result i have removed verison 0.7.0 from the server. So version 0.7.0 is a fail!
I apologize for the inconvenience, this newly release version should not cause any issues.
No please do not do anything additional until I have responded, it works on my OMSI with all of the files intacted. None of the default files of OMSI were never overwritten. If the files which I have issued in an update does not work then the fault is more then likely an missing file. Again, sorry about that.
For this update, it contents needs to be extracted into the \Omsi\Vehicles directory as usual.
It is extremely important that all of the files are extracted.

some problems with D86... upshifting from 3 to 4(around 40) does not work.. i have to lock gear 3 and the upshifting works well beyond 40km/h
and i can't enter the game using D92..
I forgot to program in to add slippage to the 5th grade unlock, that should correct the problem. The fix should be included in the next update. The 5 gear script is the least completed of the other 3, none of the sounds for the 5th speed has been reworked yet but will be reworked shortly. . The current version of the download includes only three versions. With the 4th version, the Early edition of the ZF script, has been put aside for now and is being drastically worked on.

Found the cause or causes, for the SD92, the cockpit_zf.osc file caused the fault, it has been removed and replaced with the default file. For the SD83, the updated consistfile was not included in the update. I had to basically delete everything in my vehicle directory and then dump in my own update to determined what is wrong.
Also just found out that the sound file used on the SD92 is from an slightly older verison. Check and make sure that the sound_D92_zf.cfg file was modified on 5-20-2011, not 5-13-2011
Hope this is the end of the drama for the time being. I think I grew a gray hair to determined the cause. Also sent the file over to someone else for testing and see if the buses load or not. Apparently they now do.

wow the D92 is wonderful Amazing sound and smooth performance, thx for yr awesome mod By the way the SD83 sounds seems a bit poor and the retarder sound is missing during braking Thanks again and look forward to the suceeding version!

I'm impressed by the performance of D92 it's smooth, but i wonder if it's too fast
and the problem with D86 i've mentioned repeats when driving SD83, shifting from 3rd gear to 4th.. this time the setting of SD83 is interesting.. just like simulating a bus with problems in gearbox (shifting from 2nd to 3rd)
though there're still problems to be solved, it's a lot of fun driving these ZF series

Well i must say, that the D89 have a wonderful sound ! The SD83 have a quietly ZF Sound. The D86 have some problems at 40km/h to get up in the next gear, when you not have full gas. The D92 is great, but it's normal that there is a whistle, instead of the gear sound? And now i have two SD83 in my vehicle selection(it's under the D92 ZF). when i click the SD83 ZF, OMSI get a error, but how can i delet it?
