System requirements

YAY I can barely play OMSI but good enough on the low end for now until I build me a new pc that will make it into recommended territory. For those asking I have an
AMD AM2 4800+ at 2.5GHZ (Dual Core) (Not upgrading processor since I will build a new pc soon as in August xD)
2.5GB of ram (thought of going 4GB but waste of money since I will build a new computer in the very near future)
nVidia 8600GT 512mb (will upgrade to a 460/470GTX since it costs $179CDN here)

GTX 470, I will buy me this card in the next few weeks. It's a nice card for a nice price. The exact type of the card I want to buy is the EVGA GeForce GTX 470 SuperClocked, I just have to wait for my salary of this month.

You guys are over thinking things way too much!! Honestly when I looked at the system requirements, I was scared... Then i looked at the format which the requirements were written out, Apparently the 2.6 GHZ is levied for a single-core processor such as the Pentium 4. Even a single core of a dual core at a much more lower rate cpu outperforms that of a 2.6 GHZ Pentium 4. It is not about the clock speed, it is all about the architecture of the CPU. Besides under the recommended system requirements, Intel dual core 2 AMD Phenom II are mentioned. The 3.0GHZ clock speed could have been assessed on the Pentium 4 3.0 GHZ, which again as I said before, a single clock on a dual core is way more efficient then that.

i was thinking if OMSI team found minimum needed specs,that they tested,what fps was..

Fortunately my PC is updated with core 980x 3.3ghz, 6gb ram DDR3 2000mhz, 2x geforce 580 SLI.

Maybe, but I think 1,83 GHz is too low for operation.

Game runs on two routes at max settings. In berlin i got 20-45. On normal practise map i got 50-60. Game is good optimised for me. Yeah i wroted about that game is poorly optimised, forget about that

With all these somewhat decent FPS on the better computers, I think I'm going to be ripped off of a good game for having such a minimum pc

I agree. I am in the same situation. My pc is old enough to be a museum showpiece and I will be investing in a new one soon. Nothing outrageously expensive but a pc that can cope with the newer games.

I found out if you start at the depot, the FPS will drop down to 10-15FPS, but if you start elsewhere, then the FPS will be between 20-45. E6550 here...

But I spend $80 on giving my pc life support with a new cpu and graphics card. It will take ages for a new build, seeing as $690CDN is hard for a student to make when my mom is on welfare. I best be looking for some resumes

Yeah, I am starting at depot and i got 27FPS. BUT not Depot Parade, just without buses
