DAF SB250 City Bus (Amsterdam)

Hello Everybody,

About 3 years ago I`ve released the following bus for the game GTA San Andreas, so if it looks familiour to some of you, you know where you have seen it before. However, since it was once of my first 3D models it suffered bad design faults and lack of detail. But because I love the shape of the bus and they will probably be soon replaced by new buses, I decided to completely rebuild the model because I think this bus should not be forgotten.

I still have to modify the textures and fix some normals but the outside is one step away from being finished. I hope to post some updates on the interior soon.

I think it is about time to give you a update.

There are 5 different series of this bus and as you can see 3 of them are on the folowing pictures. They all look the same from the outside except for the serie with the bigger taillights. The other differences can be found in the interior, they all have a different seat layout. One more important difference is that some of the series have sliding doors in the back and in the middle.








I still have to make all the details on the dashboard and texture some parts and that will take some time. But if I see people are interested in this bus I will keep you updated in this topic. If not, you will probably see all of it when I have imported into OMSI.

I've travelled some kilometers by suburban DAF SB230/Berkhof (CLICK ON ME to see this miracle!) with manual gearbox from PKS Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and I found this bus brilliant - very nice sound, characteristic and quite loud, but not too much, great seats covered with leather, very good suspension. Does this SB250 have some common parts with SB230?
I hope it will be perfectly reproduced in OMSI. Good luck!

Hmm, you are comparing a low floor city bus with a high floor long distance bus, I think the suspension of the DAF SB230 is (a lot) better. We do have leather seats and I like the sound of our buses but you have to find out if you like it too. The work at the dashboard, etc. is almost finished. Only some little work is left to do like making the driver seat, pedals and a view details like the indicator lights that shows the driver when people want to get out.
