Creating maps/routes

Hello all,

As the title says i would like to start to fiddle with my own routes since i cant use the Berlin maps. But i need to download something i dont know where it is. And i see many people having problems so how would i get started off with this? Anyone can tell me the basics of..

-Mapping (traffic lights also,and junctions)

-AI cars

-Routes/bus stops, timetables and arrows to show the way
