Oldest bus on regular service around here is a 1989-built Setra S 215 UL. On sightseeing service a MAN SD75.

And to think that when I was in HH in June 2010 I couldn't see a single AGG330 with at least part of the livery being the official Hochbahn bus livery...

Well, you can find them (the A330s) around Altona station (the line 183, like on that picture, goes over Altona), the AGG300s are only in service on line 5 and E86. The 5 goes through downtown and the E86 is an express line to Altona for the people working at AIRBUS, but that line can be used by everyone. Older buses like Setra and O405 can you find in southern Hamburg, especially in Harburg.

Edit: Oops, I've misread your post... again:

The AGG300s unfortunately doesn't have the Hochbahn livery, without advertisement they are just white.

Im quite proud of my town for having an extremely understandable bus service grid. Its only small but almost every single road is covered by a bus.

Optare Solo is commonly used on the 46, 46A, 46B, 50, 51 and 51B and used on lower priority services covering all routes above apart from the 35/36. They Leyland Olympian and Volvo Olympian are used on the 30/31 on higher peak services and commonly on the 48. The Jonckheere Modulo is commonly used on the X4/X5 and also used as an emergency replacement for any broken down buses.

The Dennis/Scania Enviro 400 (I hardly know which is which) is extremely commonly used on the 300/301 route (now called the 302/301 between Whitehaven and Maryport, changing number to 300 at Maryport on a North service to Carlisle).

The Dennis Enviro 300 is extremely commonly used on the 30/31 route and on a certain route at night for the 301.




The above B10M is amazingly common on almost every single route apart from the 35/36. One can get quite sick of them after a while.




The above Paladin is some what of an amazement to the Workington fleet. It is the ONLY of its kind on the Workington depot fleet and is very rare to see. I have seen it cover almost every single route now.




The above is a very scenic picture of a Dennis Dart SLF in the middle of Moorclose in December (obviously). This bus is commonly used on lower peak services of the 30/31 and has been seen on the 50, 51, 46/A and 47.


I guess your thinking 'Why is the 35/36 so unique?' Its because it is the only route in Workington to be ran by Cumbria County Council (CCC). Different minibus companies, including Reays and Stagecoach, each have participation of running the route. The Mercedes Benz 709D is commonly used, although I have once seen a special English liveried Dennis Enviro 200 on the route!

we have set buses for set routes round here, sometimes you will see another route's bus on a different route, but its normally a set fleet

Something else I should mention...

Workington is something of a revolution for the bus industry. Workington bus station has the claim to fame of being the first purpose built covered bus station in the country.

An unidentified Bristol FLF exits the bus station, obviously in a more advanced road infrastructure from the last image. Also, the main shopping street has been completed for the town. The road next to it has now been converted to a one way system.

We've also have a metro line. Is a light metro consisting of a single line that connects the centre of Genoa, Italy with the suburb of Rivarolo Ligure, to the north-west of the city centre. The service is currently managed by Azienda Mobilità e Trasporti, which provides public transport for the City of Genoa. (Wikipedia) It is about 5km long.
