Bus route lettering

Okay, so I've been working on my own map and doing some routes. Its come to my attention that there are quite a few letters that the bus matrix can display, and I'm wondering what they stand for.

I already know that M is for the MetroBus, N is the night bus, X is for the express(I think E is too) but what is U, A, S Like U42 and A29 or S39, what do these stand for?

I know there is also the other ones like _A# and _B# which I assume could be like branches?

I'm sure I could make these letters mean whatever I want on my map, but I'm interested to know what they actually stand for or, since this game is set in the late 80s, DID stand for.

N: night bus
X: express bus (introduced 1993)
M: metrobus (24/7 service, introduced 2005)
S: S-Bahn (urban railway) replacement service
U: underground replacement service
A...F: fairground or exhibition shuttle lines
Triangle: excursion lines
"Hansel and Gretel": school bus

Is there a way to add 'Hansel and Gretal' in the game?
I know the triangle is /^\ but what do you type in for Hansel and Gretal?

It's course 03 on the IBIS and "gh" for the dropdown menu.
