Something to go with steering wheel, if you don't have a normal desk, is Wheel Stand Pro. You can adjust it almost in any way you want, so it's easy to make a "Bus" configuration by turning the wheel more up. Here's my setup:
I think they make wheel stands for several different models, this one is Wheel Stand Pro G27 (for Logitech G27).

All I can say is wow, been playing OMSI since it's release with keyboard only, and whilst I love this game I never realised just how great this actually is until now.
I have just purchased a Logitech Driving Force™ GT for £89.99, this is THE best purchase I have ever made.
This game just really is awesome!!

Here's my wheel and controls
It's only a 180 degree wheel, but turned upright by screwing a block of wood to the table to allow the wheel to clamp to it, this made the wheel upside down, so i took it off and put it back on upside down, (has off centre screw pegs, but can be persuaded to go back on the other way up)
Made the control panel from some industrial switches, a trucks handbrake with some microswitches where the air valves were, the other levers are for train simulators,
and the cap with the led's on is for freetrack, a free version of trackIR, webcam with the infrared filter taken out, 3 infrared leds mounted to a cap, and the freetrack software, works great in omsi... once i set the freetrack process to high priority, nice and smooth, but at the cost of a few fps from omsi... one situation where a multi core cpu would be good i rekon.
