Steering wheel for OMSI.

Guys,
I have a question.

Im am going to buy new steering wheel for OMSI.
My current one is not good enough.
Also my current bugdet is not good enough

But I don't worry because I think I can find something what would be useful.

So..... I've been wondering about this one ----> ..:: Picture ::..

This is a 270º wheel. Would that steering angle be enough to play?

It would be enough.. BUT.. I think you should go for

The Logitech Driving Force GT.



It has 900 Degree's rotation and force feedback which can be changed to whatever strength you feel comfortable with

No. Those pedals will not be registered as axises. My friend has an equivalent wheel, and he can't use the pedals.. it's completely messed up! Buy a G25 or G27, it's worth the cash..

I can't deny it.
But unfortunately, I am not able to buy one of them. It's too expensive for me right now.

Practically,, I would use this wheel only for one game (I guess I dont have to say which one ).
I am not lover of racing games also

Hi Cristian, I bought a wheel brand new in 2009, it was originally made in 2005 but still works amazingly with games today. It cost me £40 when I bought it but I have seen it second hand on Ebay for £40-50 so I did well to get it for £40 brand new! It is a Logitech driving force pro, 900 degree rotation, force feedback, accelerator, brake and a gear shift stick. It works perfectly with OMSI, I think you could find one online, either Ebay or somewhere else for a reasonable price, a lot cheaper than a driving force GT or G25.

well i recomended to buy this only if you dont have much money , here its about 70 euros, and for that price its very good, but if you want to feel more like bus driver find one that can turn wheel more degreese like real steering wheel

i bought a g25 from just over a £100 on ebay, was a bargin, and after playing omsi with out a steering wheel when i first bought i can honestly say get a wheel. But try ebay and amazon first there may be a bargin

Here is one on Ebay, 1 day 15 hours to go (at time of posting) current highest bid at £20, I wouldn't expect that to go above £45.

Also like to point out... The Logitech Driving Force Pro also works on a PS2 and PS3 as well as a PC. I think the same applies to the Driving Force GT too. I play Gran Turismo 5 and Formula 1 on the PS3 so it has been a very good investment.

Correct, The Driving Force GT was designed and marketed as a "PS3 only" wheel and was designed for Gran Turismo 5 : Prologue, However considering it has a USB interface It's pretty much compatible with anything that has a USB input.

I bought mine originally for Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3 and for other driving games on the PC including OMSI.

Despite costing me £85 brand new it's a worthy investment and will keep me entertained for a very long time.

Yes, if you can't afford a G25 or G27 then the Driving Force Pro is a great compromise. It can do everything the G25/G27 can do except for the "H" shifter (conventional-style gear stick) and clutch pedal. They're also very well built. I have the older model like someone above, and it's great... had it for around 3 years now (maybe more) and still going strong.

Hey man let me know how it works with OMSI, since I was looking at that one too, which is half the price of the G27 if it is worth it I may get that one but I still considering the G27

will do.. It's supposed to be better than the G27.. but we'll see..

I have a car and love to drive it.

Just need a good wheel to enjoy OMSI more. For me in this case, the most expensive doesn't mean the best
No matter it's Driving Force GT, g27 or G10000

No no, I fully agree with you. I also planned to buy a G25, but then this announcement popped up and I was the first to respond.. got this G27 very, very cheap!

Well in the next little while maybe a week or so I be getting a wheel, not for just this game but to use it for GT5 on PS3, which one do you people prefer, right now the only one that is available in my area right now is the Driving Force GT but if you had a choice between Logitech Driving Force GT vs Logitech G27 which one would you get

Depends on your Budget.

The G27 offers a Clutch pedal aswell as accelerator and brake.

The Driving Force GT is a good wheel, I should know, I purchased one a few weeks ago and I'm very happy with it, Works on GT5 Prologue and the Full GT5 and works on OMSI brilliantly too

I would advise NOT to buy second hand though.

Fun that I just turned GT5 off 1 minute ago, where I've really managed to get pain in my hands using the incredible G27! I tell you, this steering wheel got sick force.. It's crazy!

I fully recommend G27, works great at 900' with OMSI, very realistic experience!
