Thema: How many sound files in a bus? Di 17 Nov - 1:48
The sound effects of the SD200 buses are excellent. The Voith gearbox is similar to that used in buses in the UK and Ireland.
Is it possible to know how many individual sound files are used in the creation of one bus? Besides individual sounds such as warning buzzers, horn, handrail judder, how many sound files are used in the creation of a typical acceleration through three automatic gears?
Will it be possible to sample some of the existing sounds in new user created buses?

At the moment, the SD200 uses 105 sound files of which there are 15 individual gearbox-sounds (including the hubs which make up to the very distinctive sound, engine sounds not counted, that's another 12 files).
All sound files are stored as separate WAV-files so you can easily include them in your own bus projects.

Many thanks, I look forward to seeing the Berlin buses in detail, and seeing how the sound files are put together, the scripting, etc. There will be a lot to learn, but I hope I am up to the challenge.
