One of the reasons why I love the 6 speed zf transmission is because of the LBSS shifting patterns. There is one perticular steep hill around here, and the ZF transmission will hold the gear going up that hill. Whereas it's Allison counterparts with the same engine shifts at an set point. I did try to get LBSS implemented into the simulator, somewhat; however, it needs a lot of work!

Doing LBSS requires basically editing and changing the entire shifting side of the transmission script.

I have made a sound mod to go with your engine and gearbox mod, as I felt the sounds of a D2566 engine did not go well with the performance of a D2866 LUH, so I took the sounds of a D2866 and made other subtle modifications to the sounds and to me it sounds very good, and more modern. I will release it later today or tomorrow so you can tell me what you think. ;D

Did you take those recordings from a bus fitted with a D 2866 UH or D 2866 LUH/LOH?

I know your engine is a Euro III but I thought this would be close enough since the default sounds are not Euro anything (part from being European.... ) and I removed the gearshifting and axle sounds as they are too loud for the sort of axles a Euro 3 type bus would have (I presumed while "re-engineering/refurbishing" the D92s for us that you replaced the axles with more modern ones ).

I also based it on the sound of Voith DIWA (4 speed) Volvo B7TLs here which sound like this except for the different engine. Anyway you will be able to hear it when I get back to my OMSI PC and pack it up in a rar file.

Yes, there's a HUGE difference!

The D2566 UH is a naturally aspirated 11.4-litre engine that produces 150kW/660Nm.

The D2866 LUH is a turbocharged, intercooled 11.97-litre engine that produces 191kW/1050Nm.

Tried your turbo sound MOD it sounds great but, when you slow down the bus becomes silent. You start to hear the retarder then the bus becomes silent. You may have to tweak it a bit. Other than that great job!

The MI-series engines all sound similar irrespective of the production date, so there is no problem there.
