Editor Background Image

As some of you may or may not know in the OMSI editor there is an option to place a background map image to help you lay roads, place buildings etc if you are building a real map, this image is only displayed in the editor and not in the simulator.
Anyway I have been in touch with the author of RWDecal which is a tool that is used to make decal images from Google Earth to be used as background images in the Railworks editor, if it might be possible to make a version for OMSI, via the tool you could mark out an area in Google Earth and it would automatically produce a large jpeg of the area allowing you to use in OMSI making it much easier than doing it manually.

A little look of how the sample image looks, just a small area of the 5km x 5km image, a few bus objects have been placed on top of real buses to check the scale.

If he isn't able to write in German he can write in English too, so that he don't has to use any Internet translator.

B2T: It's a very nice idea. When I have understood it correctly, you made a tool where you can make ground textures from Google Earth/Maps so it's easier to place buildings, streets, etc.?
