Thema: Passengers buy only some kind of tickets... Di 22 Feb - 16:20
No one ever bought reducet ticket, Kombi Ticket or that 1.00 ticket (I'm not sure how is it called). Could this be fixed? To make ticket sales more interesting
Great game, anyway

Well...on the older buses, there only were 5 ticket types for sale, three of which you can sell to adult passengers. The other two are reduced fare tickes only valid for children. Since there are no children in OMSI yet, there is no customer for these tickets. Anyway, they are included to have a fully equipped ticket counter. The D92 on the other hand is fitted with a ticket printer that can print much more than just the 5 types, one of the great advantages of these things. So the buttons for the other tickets are there but noone will buy them for they are not included in the Berlin "ticket pack", where all available tickets are listed. Remember: Each ticket needs speech samples from all of our passengers, so we reduced the amount of speech samples to the three most important tickets. (Even if there was a full set of speech files available, some tickets would still make no sense, like the "KuDamm-Ticket", which was only valid along the Kurfürstendamm, Berlin's famous shopping street).

OK, I understand. Though I'd LOVE to see more options regarding tickets (for example checking tickets for passengers who board with ticket and not buying it from driver) and so on...

Of course, we would, too The only problem is: Ticketing and fare systems are very complex and every little city has its own rules. So we COULD have included every little detail of Berlin ticketing (short haul, stamping tickets at the driver, special tickets, senior tickets, university tickets, checking tickets by holding them up, etc) but this would have been much to specialized for a simulator covering bus driving in gereral. So, keeping in mind that OMSI is designed as a simulator platform, we have reduced the complexity, but it still covers the aspect of ticket selling quite well, I hope

Ticket checking and stamping tickets would have been very nice Maybe you can add at least children to the game in future? Ticket selling itself is wonderful right now
