It's been said before by M&R that OMSI runs pretty well on any modern PC.
However, I have recently been upgrading my PC a LOT in the recent months.
My PC is now:
AMD Phenom II 940 Black Edition @ 3.0Ghz Quad Core 8GB DDR2 1066Mhz Kingston Hyper-X memory Sapphire HD 6950 ( 2GB ) Dirt 3 Edition And plenty of Hard drives ( 6 in fact )
So.. Why Is OMSI only achieving 10FPS on some maps? WHY? I have a 2GB GPU.
I think we would all want a patch please Marcel & Rudiger for OMSI to run more on GPU power and not on CPU.
I think this is the right time to ask considering that: * You are charging good money for this Simulator *People will be turned away from this if all they read about is poor performance.
example below OMSI
Crysis 2
Dirt3
Also, Can Folks here who use an ATI GPU ( not Crossfire ) please tell us what Settings you have on Catalyst Control Center?
I'll start.

Your upgrading may be too powerful for OMSI.OMSI uses 1 core.

Thats it. OMSI was starting developed a far time ago... so its based on singlecore CPUs, so my Athlon XP performances best with it. maybe in future, there will be a multicore featuring for omsi...
but thats all about that, right now.

Ah, I'll try setting affinity to 1 core
*edit* nope, even setting it to 1 core did not help, Omsi really needs optimized.

I generally find that the GPU control panel settings don't affect the game much, like anti-aliasing etc. No noticeable difference between no AA and 16xQ CSSA for example.

I thought that was just me being noobish and not knowing how to set it up properly! OMSI needs a AA feature built-in if possible, ATI's CCC has almost no effect.

That is so not true, I managed to play OMSI under both AA and non-AA on my ATI HD4670 card. I used ATI-Tray Tools though.

Have you tried CPU-Control yet? I use it always when I'm playing Omsi, gives me around 5-8 FPS more on the most maps.

How Cpu-Control works? I tried it but process name is empty... It's not possible to select a specific program, for example omsi.exe?

I think it may have to do sth with the newer versions of CCC, because with my old ATI 4900 i had perfect AA in Omsi and since i have a new HD6900 and full AA in CCC i can't tell a difference between AA and no AA. So i'm definetly pro build-in AA switch in Omsi!
