How to assign hardware 'sliders' to alter heating system

One of the projects I'm working on is a hardware cockpit.
Currently I'm working on the heating system. However I cannot assign my potmeters the fan speed or air mixture.

Anyone got a solution?

This would only be possible with the DLL plungin possibility...
