The Scania is just brilliant! Do the wipers work yet? Could you make a video while driving with the Scania?

The Scania looks awesome! I really don`t like the fact that the bus is left hand driving so I won`t use it. But the quality is awesome and that`s why I will put it in OMSI once it is fiinished, just to observe it.

Are the Scania's displays scripted? If not, do you/the author plan on scripting them as per real life? I'm really bored of ANNAX-script-based displays.

That Caetano Scania looks spot-on! The front end looks really detailed, and just like the real one! Great job!

I've been around some Volvo B9LA, with the same Caetano bodywork, and that looks just great. A picture of the rear would be really good, if you could ask the author to get it.

They look very amazing! Hope that the left-side traffic could be worked.

Both the buses are wonderful, and I hope we shall have many KMB (and NWFB and CTB) routes to drive on; hm.. 48X and 39M come to mind as does the 27....

Lol, you are funny refusing to use a bus just because it is LHD!!! I am from an LHD country, and yet I accept RHD buses and use them (as presently OMSI has nothing else) but you won't use this wonderful bus just because it is LHD? I do not mean to start a flame war, but I just don't get it!

I'm from RHD country and will not use it as well but it doesn't mean it's not piece of great work, does it?

All we can see on this pictures is just some bus textures. It will take a long time before we see these buses ready to download in final version (if we ever see).

Wish best to the author because, at the first glance, it looks very interesting.
I also look forward to watch some videos which show how the work is getting better.
And then, we can say something more.

You have not answered my question:

Why does being in a country that uses RHD vehicles make you decide not to use the LHD bus, when it is finished?

Or, more simply, Why won't you use an LHD bus?

After all, I did not reject OMSI just because it has only RHD buses, being in an LHD country.

I don't know !!!!!!!!!! Maybe I don't like it??????

This topic is about new bus which is under construction. It's not about who will play or who won't because it DOES NOT exist.....yet.

Driving a LHD bus in a RHD country would be EPIC

Passengers get on/off on the 2nd roadline instead pavement/busstop

Driving and LHD bus like the enviro or the Scania down Heerstr would be fun as you could paint it in a livery like Shearings or Euroline and say its the coach from London to Berlin, or paint the Scania all white and play Coach Trip, lol! Turning left would be either a good way to show off or good way to kill all the passengers. As for getting on and off, you could pull over on the "wrong" side of the road!

There seems to be a bit of debate as to whether people should be making buses designed to drive on the left when OMSI is currently a game designed to drive on the right - I would say that, yes, they should. With the number of Brits, Aussies and Hong Kongers in the OMSI community, it is surely only a matter of time until someone finds a way to get traffic moving on the left. In fact, I've seen a few people talking about this, with naysayers saying stuff like "What's the point, there are no buses designed to drive on the left even if you get this working!". It's the chicken and egg argument - I think that with buses designed to drive on the left there will be a clear case for people to create mods that get traffic moving on the left, and that is surely a desirable outcome!

Well said, friend!! I am looking into making splines where the traffic moves on the left, as I really want UK/Australia/HK routes (especially London and Shatin ) as I miss driving on the correct (sorry to offend anyone ) side of the road from Midtown Madness 2, but cannot bring myself to reinstall let alone play MM2 after getting used to the realism in OMSI.

As you said mattj, buses designed to drive on the right will encourage us to work on getting the traffic to follow suit. Besides as I said before you can drive any bus anywhere, after all we have maps like Seaside City running with long and wide double deckers, when in real life minibuses (or at least midibuses) would be used.

You all keep getting the side wrong, these buses are RHD not LHD! (Right Hand Drive = you sit on the right to drive)

I'm so glad that a full 3D interior was made for this bus and it was converted from MM2, Hong Kong modellers are awesome

I know they won't be compatible with over 95% of maps atm, but someone will probably mirror the bus for RHD purposes

RHD = Right Hand Drive (traffic) = You drive on the right side of the road.
