DATE OF RELEASE: 16th June 2011 | Usedom (282: Wolgast - Koserow, Koserow - Wolgast)

Hello! I'm currently making the add-on map from City Bus Simulator 2010. However, this will not include a bus. The route as you may know it from CBS2010 is all different in real life, so the map will be different as well. I recently finished the splines from Wolgast to Koserow, drove them through with full speed (72 kph) and not slowing down before reaching each city, and it took me around 18 minutes. So the route will be around 25-30 minutes (I suppose, maybe more or less). I am not able to set a deadline on the map as it does require a really lot of hard work. There are so many trees to place, so many small cities to build and yet I have only finished the basic splines. I haven't even finished the route yet, and there is not a single bus stop set up. But I'll keep you updated in this thread, and I hope that you will all find the map interesting on its final release!

I will make this thread more organized as time goes and I build more on the map - and then screenshots will as well be included. Thank you!

This is actually really freaky my end because I am actually working on my version of Usedom my end...and was going to unveil it for launch. Starting with Wolgast-Wolgast Town-Mahlzow, and will incorporate those side street CBS 2010 didnt use!Looks like someone beat me to it lol.

If you need help placing objects let me know, since I know Usedom from CBS quite well having driven the lines a lot! I'll also divise a timetable for you, say Wolgast-Mahlzow, Wolgast-Zinnowitz, Wolgast-Koserow, Koserow-Zempin etc!

Did you play the Romford map...if not check it out http://www.cbszone.tk/. I designed all the timetables for it, since CBS didnt have a timetable system!

Hey! The map in CBS2010 is not real made. I checked it on google earth, and Koserow isn't like that.. the "bahnhof's" are also wrong! Do you know if the line goes THROUGH Koserow, or stops just at the bahnhof?

I dont think the line actually exists, much like Ystad and Dannenburg by David Rogers!

What I meant was devising a timetable system for OMSI Usedom, much like I did for CBS Romford. So that Usedom would have proper working timetable system, like every other map?

I am pretty sure that there is a bus line too.

There is a line but it doesnt serve the same stops! The two, CBS and OMSI, and the real world drastically differ in timetable lines, but very similar in town layout (within technical boundries at the time). All I was proposing was I help build some timetables for the OMSI, otherwise there is no timetable and people complain!

Oh.. well, infact I've been working on the AI / timetable this evening..

This project is on hold! I have trouble transferring the files from my old PC to my new!!

Abandoned // closed as the main spline I've used is not in the SimpleStreets ZIP folder, so I do not have access to it, hence the map is broken. Not going to re-build it all with different splines.

That is not good news! Hopefully you can pick it up later.

If not, Ill have a stab in June when I have a bit more time

Alright, I gave it an other shot.. when I come to Mahlzow Ausbau, it just adds the bus stop Wolgast Bahnhof istead of Mahlzow Ausbau.. it did as well before, I got no idea why.. it doesn't work, it also keeps bugging the route when I finish it without Mahlzow Ausbau

Proceeding the work on this! It is now working!!

This evening I was able to do my first drive to Koserow from Wolgast. I finished the AI which is running perfectly, I just have to add three more minutes to the current 22 minutes of the route, otherwise you get too late! So the route will be a total of 25 minutes, you have terminus break on five minutes at the terminus stops and then you have to go again. On your way to the desired destination you will meet a colleague in his own bus. There are two buses on the route until 18:00 where there is only one bus driving.

Have you designed all based on one road again? And are you using simplestreets to create bus inlay on Mahlzow and Zempin if you are creating the one road?

Any short routes ie Koserow-Zempin, Wolgast-Zinnowitz? Or just the main one for now?

Hello. For now a release date cannot be set. But it probably won't be in this month. I still miss the whole scenery except for Koserow Bahnhof (seen in the picture). I use SimpleStreets yes, and the route is yet just the main route.

Good news! I have set up traffic lights, street signs and finished announcement sounds for the D92!!

can you please make your screenshots much smaller please, so they don't make our browsers expand, and make it hard to read the posts......

sounds like your doing some good work here, but just out of interest, with all the choices in the world, why build a route that is already available in CBS ? (with better graphics than a homemade map)?

not saying it's not good.... just wondering

Mate, why don't you place HIS image against CBS image and you will tell instantly the OMSI graphics are way better than CBS (its newer and all that)

Also it was a great map in CBS, and its aim, which it didnt succeed in, was to add proper corners, rather than just bends! But it was a new move away from the short 10-15 minute trip across NYC!

i understand what you sayin about the route and corners etc but its still a good route in CBS, and i don't think any non pro map like the one built here by marpe will look better than a professional map, with the proper objects. i mean he is still using the normal omsi objects, whereas the cbs versio of usedom has proper objects for that route.

just seems a waste of time but thats just my view. i wish him luck with it.

he could have done another island like helgoland instead (i know is from FSX ha ha).

I think that depends on your viewpoint on stuff. I personally think that OMSI has better graphics and animations than Usedom, hence I'm making this map. OMSI is as well many, MANY degrees more realistic than CBS2010. I have personally completely left CBS, when OMSI came out. These two games aren't comparable at all. You must as well understand that Usedom was made with professional software, not a map editor.

I have made this route as I know that several people are missing it from CBS. So, it's always worth a try. And just a small heads-up, the route will be 27 minutes in each direction!
