NVIDIA GeForce GTX 5xx series (and general NVIDIA experiences) - New ATI card bought, no significant improvement

Well, infarct I get free Office 2010 installed on it.. so it doesn't come program free !

Got this kick-ass PC today, with GTX580, gonna try OMSI as soon as it has installed in a 5 minutes time. Will tell you about it there!

Also bought a 23 inch HP touch screen.. this is wonderful as well!!!

Hi.. I can't count FPS as I am not able to install Fraps on this PC before I get a USB device or equivalent to transfer all my old files to the new PC.. but.. it runs with no lag at all. I drive smooth! The graphics are great, I use the setting of 2010 as 2011 just adds a lot of more cars. But no fingers to point here, it's all smooth!!

Marpe, press Shift+Y two or three times (don't know ), and FPS count will show up in top left part of the screen!

That's right, with the combination Shift + Z (or Y, depends which keyboard you have) you turn on game info in the upper left corner of the screen. First stage is just time, temperature, next station, the other 2 stages (press 2 or 3 times) you get more info. In the 3rd stage, you also get FPS. Please let me know as I am very interested, especially how much FPS you get at Rathaus Spandau, and with which settings (PC 2010, 2011,...).

Hi yes, 25 FPS at Rathaus Spandau and then 30+ in rest of Spandau 89 map. On other maps I haven't got below 31 FPS.

Cool, this is on PC 2011 setting?

No 2010, I never use 2011 as it just adds a bunch more of cars. I didn't try it yet, not going to!

OK, I understand. It is still an impressive result to have 25 FPS at Rathaus Spandau, I usually have around 16 there.... I would love to have more traffic, but have to stay at max. "170", any more and the game becomes too slow. :s

Anyway, enjoy.
