Kneeling Operations

Is it possible to kneel a bus or even preform handicap operations for this game?

Bottom line.. No.. In the 80's All major bus companies did not have to retrofit their buses with any modifications to their buses to facilitate the transportation of people in wheelchairs for example.

It was only a few years later that Laws were made that demanded that companies had to allow access to wheelchair users.


Kneeling buses didn't come along until the very late 90's - early 2000's.

so to answer your question.. OMSI does NOT have kneeling function on buses... YET, perhaps when people make low floor buses this will be possible.

The question was asked if Kneeling is possible in this game. It doesn't have to be the buses in the game, but a perhaps it can be scripted is wha ti want to know. Is the source code flexable enough to support this idea.

I might be wrong but from what I've heard from Rudiger/Marcels response to other similar questions, I'd have to say "Yes"

I think that's a question that Marcel/Rudiger should answer though as they have more knowledge of the scripts and what functions OMSI can support

Oh good I hate to email them and I know the PM system is off so I thought it would be a good idea to ask since someone i nthe community might know. Oh btw, I do have a LF Bus I'm trying to get into the game.

No idea, but I suppose it would be possible to script, I see no reason why it is not possible...but I will let a developer answer this though...

There is a function to modify the spring rate for each wheel (already used in OMSI by the automatic level control). This is exactly what a kneeling system does, so yes, it's possible
