Yes, these displays were introduced in 1982.

Wow, still new informations... Sorry for my dis-knowledge.. Anyway, on mx webpage there was a question... What is the advantage of automatic closing doors? He can understand its reason for example in the trains where the driver cannot control all the doors... But in the bus it looks like a little bit unnecessary... It COULD just hurt anyone.. (Of course probably it won´t, but still it could).

In our buses, the rear door is not really in the driver's field of vision, so the driver can't see whether all passengers (especially smaller people/children) have cleared the door of if there's still someone standing directly in the door. Thus, the rear doors close automatically: There is a contact step or a light barrier that detects passengers in the door and keeps the doors open as long as it has not been cleared. When one-man operation was intruduced at the end of the 60s, it was to keep a high safety level even without a conductor who had operated the read door until then.

Depends...normally, the only thing the driver operates is the "door release", included in the stop brake. When activated, the doors open if the stop button has been pushed. If not, they will stay closed until someone pushes the stop button or the driver opens them manually (only when people with luggage or prams want to get in/out). In manual mode, the doors stay open, otherwise thay close automatically after the door has been cleared.

Kind of expensive then, but then again, in my city, the buses first had electronic displays in the mid-late 90s

Do you get a window in front of you if you were driving a real bus, how many passengers want to get out? Don't think so.

Anyway, the meaning is the same... I would love to have just the bus on the screen to feel like a real driver, not maps, windows and all sorts of gadgets..

In real life do you have an info box? No, not really, but you do get a manual in book format if u bought the boxed version and pdf if you bought the download version. There will be no need for info boxes since this simulator is aimed at pretty much hard core bus simulator realism fan which is yet to be rocked by OMSI

I agree about the window/info box as well. Such feature would not be realistic.

You'll have a great set of mirrors in Omsi and you want a info box to tell you how many passangers want to get off and on the bus?

In Ikarus 260/280 there is not any automatic system. If you arrive to the bus stop, you have to open the doors by the mirror. Passengers can only use the stop button that lights up at the drivers in each door's button. You can open and close all of your doors i can say that you have to open and close If there are 4 doors the driver has 8 buttons for doors to open and close. Every doorbutton has a light inside the button that shows where the passenger pressed the stop button. These are in the open section, in the close section there are lights too but those show which doors are opened. Passenger can not open doors, they can use the stop button. For the passengers outside there are not any button, you have to use the mirrors to open doors as driver. So I hope it will totally work with OMSI. I love ikarus 260/280 series. I would like to open the doors manually by the mirrors and of course use the ringer before door closing In our buses you can only close the doors with the ringers. Of course it stops when the doors are closed.
Will OMSI support any control panel? Some crazy men would like to build a control panel for PC from an ikarus 260/280. I'd like to build too That means a full control panel, not only doors. It shows fuel, speed etc.

You can, but you would have to code some things to the control panel since its support is pretty much keyboard and steering wheel. Also, you can also code it so that only the driver can open and close the door as long as you know the language.
