Scunthorpe Town Map - V1.0 Released 02/08/2011

Hi,

I have been working on producing a Scunthorpe map for OMSI, which I am hoping to release in the coming days.

The Route

I have created 2 routes, the 4 and 6, that will be released with the first version (I intend on adding all the town routes, and some of the out of town routes in the coming months...). The Main route is the number 6. THis is based on the real route 6 operated jointly by stagecoach (Formally Roadcar) and a local firm, Hornsby Travel. Buses run Every 10 Minutes from around 8am to 6pm. In real life, the last bus leaves the bus station at 6pm. In OMSI buses continue to around 10pm every hour. A round trip takes around 45 minutes.

Route 4 is a fictional route, based on the real route 22, but diverts from the real route at certain places along the route. It runs every 30 minutes during the day only, and a round trip takes around 55 minutes.

The map requires Simple Streets to be installed. The rest of the route uses default objects only. The route is currently under testing and finishing touches, and I hope to release it publically in the coming few days. It will also come with its own ticket pack with 'Roadcar' branded tickets (Roadcar operated most routes until they were taken over by Stagecoach around 6-7 years ago...)

UPDATED: 31st July - The route itself is now finished.
It is currently undergoing testing, and assuming there are no problems, it should be released in the next 48 hours. I haved also added new screenshots below...

Looks Fantastic

very nice ironicly i am going scunthorpe hopefully in the next few days. map looks very nice carnt wait to drive my InterConnect stagecoach bus round it haha good look with any extra routes that you add im sure this will be the map i use most because its a place i like to visit

Version 1.1 has now been released over in the real routes section, which corrects some small errors in the first version.

Work will now start on V2.0 which will add new routes and scenery to the map. Screenshots and updates will be posted here in the coming days/weeks...
