Can we have an UPDATE?!? It has been over SIX MONTHS since the last update, there MUST be somthing to show people and i dont mean screenshots. It looks to me like OMSI is dead or dying. If you do not update, people will get tired of waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting..............will i go on? If you dont show people that this project is still alive by giving FULL UPDATES, videos, a DEMO perhaps then people will think that this project is dead and will lose interest.

We are all waiting for Omsi's release, but if they don't do an update you can't change anything. You can just wait^^

Yes, BUT there HAS to be OTHER things to update about aswell, we need a PROPER UPDATE, like a video, to show that this project is still being worked on.

Sorry, but the last update was in july.
I know, the last update of our web site was in 2009, but we have uploaded a larger number of screenshots in between in this forum. Of course that's no reason for not updating our web site - but I think it prooves, that Omsi is not dead.
If you think, Omsi is dead, it will be right, of course!

Would be nice if you gave somthing other than screenshots, perhaps tell people how the programing is doing, any new features, any new vehicles??? All you are doing is posting a screen shot every time you create a new building. Why not do one big update with lots of screenshots each month instead of posting 1 screenshot each day.

And you were never thinking about some extern redactor for your website to help you with updating pages with screens published in forum? I´m not sure if large percentages of fans are finding news on forum... But I ´m not afraid about updates now, just keep working in there and show some screen in September please... THX

Da hast du es, Jannik: er hätte es gerne umgekehrt!
I don't understand what your problem is: why should we pay for an extern redactor? We are just programming a simulation. Here you can get some information about it, if you like. And here you can see, that Omsi is not dead. Of course "would it be nice", but we cannot do this and we have our reasons.
The question was: is Omsi dead? No, it is. But we don't want to do much more then posting screenshots. Perhaps there will be a new video, later. But every detailed information about the programming (except that, we yet postet under "simulator") is not neccessary for you yet - also a demo is not neccessary yet.
If you are interested in Omsi, then please just visit this website (AND the forum!) sometimes and wait until we are ready for release. If you are not interested, then just don't do this. Of course it is your own decision what you do. But I can promise you, that Omsi will be a lot of fun for each one interested in driving simulations (below 50 MPH, of course! ). You may not buy it just because we haven't updated our web site regularly... but I cannot see any reason doing that!
And please mind: (until now) we aren't a huge software developement studio but just two guys studying and developing Omsi in our free time. So I can't understand why you think we have a big web update each month?

Thema: Re: Hello? OMSI? News? Fr 20 Aug - 21:15
But Marcel, you are the developer of OMSI, how should you be able to know that OMSI is still alive?^^ The website "www.icc-cbs.com" says, that OMSI will never be released, and I believe them! E.g. they gave us updates every 2 weeks about the Icarus bus, and now (after 8 months) it is released! They only needed 8 months! Imagine, you would ONLY need 8 month to build a bus - that's far too long, so you can't release OMSI, however it is...
So: OMSI ist definitely DEAD, and you CAN'T change that!!
Let's say, OMSI is not dead. What is then? Nothing. A community, which always asks for updates. I admit, I asked for updates for many times. But why? Not for saying that OMSI is dead, only because there aren't ready to show us a BIG thing. Yes, screenshots are nice, yes, but they only show a picture of the actual stage of play, then there are those people who say, that is something missing there, and there, and there.
It is unpolite, it's a disgrace to say that OMSI is dead. But: look at the topic at "www.icc-cbs.com" - I think, that OMSI is really dead - they only say that OMSI's not dead, because they are pleasured of being seeing us how we are asking and asking and asking for new updates.
So, think what you would like to think, but don't annoy the developers with your injured expressions - and don't spam the guestbook.
If I've forgotten anythink, you can complete me. Regards, Jannik
That was my school English, I think you have understood, haven't you?^^

I don´t think so that you could do each month updates (if someone here do, just leave it... ) But I do not complain, I´m just wondering that your main face, which presents you to all world (I dunno how much fans and interessted person do you have) looks like dead project... Maybe every day come new and new potencional buyers and after seeing half-year last update, what could they think? Look, understand me, I think it positive. So I though it is not so hard in 20 minutes update your screen section with screens released in forum a tell it in the news page with some blah blah text: Hi, how are you? My dick is really big, so see our new screens... Release is incoming, it will be fun! And to extern redactor: pay for him? Where do you live? In bloody hell where you must someone pay for uploading screens? Man I know hundred fan pages where is no-one payed.. It can do anyone for free, anyone from Germany in this forum for example.. ;-) You know what I would like say? What I´m meaning?

I do not agree! A absoullutely do not agree! I can easily imagine that 2 guys are making this game in free time and they´re just tired and boring, not like at the beginning... And now is the progress pretty slowly, but why should they stop it now, when they got lot of potencional money... IF they want stop it, they can end the work and release it... Not perfect, but playable.. And community will complete it and make new maps and routes...And If it is not good enough for this, they can release it like open sorce software... But why the hell could they stop it?
I think that progress now is slowly, I can imagine why, but I believe, ti will be released soon... It is not needed have map like CBS... Why? Many people were satisfied with vbus, so this cannot be problem and inadequate game...

Oh, there are lots of reasons: f.e. they are bored, they have no more time for OMSI, they have no money to pay their electricity bill (www.dict.cc), or they just wanted to tease us, only for fun

lol, the map from CBS is rubbish, look at the textures or something else xD

Well, there are only 2 possibilities:
1st: They canceled the project. 2nd: The haven't been canceling the project (yet).
Any questions? Yes, 'why no more updates', I think, I already answered that question, as Marcel did it MANY times (too much). Are there already any questions? No, just wait. And don't spend the whole day on the internet by waiting for news - you can do many other things. Visit the ICC-CBS and talk to the admins
I've said enough. Think what you want, I think/believe/hope, the project is still alive, why should it not? Yes, see my previous posts.
Marcel, why don't you give us some new sreens? Good night.

The main reason for that: the very most part of the last weeks work was programming (time table management, people and AI behaviour and something like that). I cannot screenshot that. And to explain what we have done with words, I have neither the time nor I was keen on. And when we will explain everything in every detail, we would a) spend very much time for nothing usefull (sorry, but these information will be only usefull when Omsi is finished and we want you to buy it) and there wouldn't be any surprise anymore...
