Just came to my mind how it would be a solar eclipse in OMSI world? Then I went to August 11th, 1999 to see how would it be. And it is interesting, indeed.
Lightning is not simulated, but that is just a mere detail.
Of course this is not that useful topic. But I thought it would be cool to share with you.

Bye!

Ha ha... I can't believe they programmed that! ...talk about detail!

That is cool, well done and thanks for spotting it and posting it.

Peace,

So why did we include this...?

Easy answer: The movement of the sun is simple... it moves just through the ecliptic circle. But the moon moves on his path around earth - but this path is rotating for itself, too! Wink So we had these two "moon parameter" we had to adjust. And what would be easier then doing this with the two eclipses we had in the past? Wink (1999 and Jan. 2011)

And it is the best proof that OMSI has a correct working sky! Wink

This reminds me some classes I had of Matlab and OpenGL at university, they were quite fun. Very Happy
I could also see that stars are from real data, including their magnitude. Does the stars.dat file use an own OMSI file structure or it can be obtained through other astronomy websites/applications? I've been trying to import the "sky" seen from the south hemisphere.

Thats fantastic, what about the sound disappearing on peoples systems, and all the other issues that need to be ironed out. Come on guys we need some input, i know real life is more important but the amount of problems people are having is too high.

We could list them all but its making it very unplayable at the moment all the bugs.

OT: We have no solution for this sound problem because it never happens on our test systems! And we cannot debug errors which don't appear! Neutral

Small tip: It sometimes happens to me when I try to minimize game, play some music (in Winamp for example) then close Winamp and maximize game.
Sound disappears, but not always.

Sometims during gameplay, I minimize game and check forum. Then I can hear 'farmerama's melody' and when come back to game there's no sound Laughing

I hate Farmerama ! lol!

Regards.
