Free-form destination signs

I'm wondering if its possible to have a free form destination sign. By free-form, I mean being able to do almost anything, and the current buses are either rollsigns, or restricted destination signs (The matrix characters can only fit in one block of text like the number 9 can only be done on the whole rectangular piece, and not be able to show up anywhere. It would be fun like having some mini-pictures that are custom programmed, or to have the route number show up in reverse without using small font because of the restricted size

Or do you mean like marquee (scrolling) destination boards

I mean round here my local route has the number 38 on both lines (fits on both) then has the destination on top and has the via destinations scrolling along the bottom

Yes, I'd love to be able to make text bold, and not have limited character sizes. Would make for more realism for newer bus models as usually only older dot matrix boards are restricted in this way.
