FBW 549 - addon bus for OMSI

Ist doch kein Problem. exe dateien entpacke ich zuerst in ein Extra Verzeichnis z.b. test, dann
habe ich die normalen Dateien !



I unpack exe files first, extract in a seperate folder " test," then I have the normal files!

Nice bus, I used 7zip to extract in a seperate folder them moved the folder to OMSI. No problems with any other buses.

Thats why i said MAY cause some problems, cause i understand that other people have used both busses, but its caused problems for me so i'm just putting up a warning,

Sorry, I did not see that in the Read Me I was more concerned with learning the controls. Not wanting to start the splash screen debate, but I like your new splash screen.

Your bus is a wonderful addon, and I like the detail (each knob of old destination blinds is there!) I also like the IBIS controlled blinds, as were such a bus as this still used today it would propably have something like that. Also, can you tell me more about the prototype? Is this a Swiss bus? I see some French inside, so it must be from Geneva? Furthermore, is the gearbox 4 or 3 speed, and is the real bus so loud (I am not complaining, I like the sound, but my mum wonders why it is so much louder than the other buses) I think your bus is very good for my Greendale map, as it can climb the 1 in 20 (20%) hills. When will the patch be ready? I ask this as I love your bus so much I want to use it as the AI in my map, to go with the SD202.

Good luck with the Renault/Karosa Citybus 12m. Is it the one that looks like the Agora/Irisbus Agoraline? Or am I confusing it with another bus. A 12m single decker will be great too, but for now I am just so very happy that you made this FBW for us; it reminds me of the Metro-Scania single deckers we used to have in the UK (from pictures, I have never actually seen one).

BTW What year is the FBW for ? 1970s?

PROBLEM FOUND. HERE IS THE FIX!

This will fix the IBIS, Matrix Number and Matrix Destination text "compressed" problem for some users.
For users that got the bus working fine now, please report if any problems occur after trying this, so the author of this bus can have a reference.

Do a backup first!
1 ) Go to the folder "...\Omsi\Vehicles\FBW_549\Model"
2 ) Find "model_fbw.cfg"
3 ) Backup "model_fbw.cfg"

Fix:
1 ) Go to the folder "...\Omsi\Vehicles\FBW_549\Model"
2 ) Open "model_fbw.cfg"

Dear OMSI scripters: For my experience of object building and my observation to OMSI's original files (it means I might be wrong),
the integer value of "width" and "height" in [texttexture] always have to be the multiple of 2 (not really multiple, I'll explain it right now).
As you know, when the integer values of "width" and "height" are smaller, the actual size in OMSI is bigger.
But those values are set to the following numbers (only):
1 ) 2 x 1 = 2
2 ) 2 x 2 = 4
3 ) 4 x 2 = 8
---------------------I've seen the following values in original OMSI's files---------------------
4 ) 8 x 2 = 16
5 ) 16 x 2 = 32
6 ) 32 x 2 = 64
7 ) 64 x 2 = 128
8 ) 128 x 2 = 256
9 ) 256 x 2 = 512

Maybe there are higher integers, but as you know, the text size is already fairly small with the value 512, I wonder how tiny the text will be with higher integers.
For some unknown reason (at least I don't know), other values like 30 will result in strange behaviours for some of the computers (screen ratios?).

Great bus, looks great. But I have a problem... I cant get it to drive, I've tried automatic by selecting what would be drive and manual with the numbered gears. Does anyone know how to get it to drive?

Handbrake off

That's what i'm doing.. it isn't working 'ive even tried moving the transmition manually but it just returns to it's original position

EDIT : Now the SD_200_77 is doing the same as , it wont engage drive, all the others are fine?

Hm... ich habe so ein Problem nicht. Wurde dieser Bus schon mehrmals geupdatet, so dass ich eine neuere Version hab, wo der Bugfix schon stattgefunden hat?

I don't think it's a bug, maybe it's only a door lock. But I find it's good.

The workings of the FBW bus are based on the SD77, they work exactly the same... unlike the others, if you press D to engage drive and press it again, it will go back to neutral again. If you listen to the engine, the sound will drop after a second or two of pressing D - the gear is then engaged. Don't bother with pressing 1, this bus doesn't have it (nor does the SD77), all you can do is toggle drive on and off or pressing "2" to stop it going into third gear (on the SD77 you will see the "3" button with a cross through it become depressed).

Also double check the handbrake has actually been released because it doesn't have a sound on the FBW.

Press "N" (neutral)
Press "E" (electricity)
Press "M" (start engine)
Press "D" (drive)
Wait about 2 seconds
Press handbrake button
Drive

If it just revs then try pressing D again, or maybe the handbrake. If you see the stick on the right of the steering wheel column go down, then it's gone into drive.

The description says this bus has roughly the same dimensions as the MAN SD ones, yet it FEELS much smaller, it's much easier to drive.
Today I put them side by side and it's indeed less wide etc.
Is that normal? Or maybe a conversion error (unprecison)
