I am pleased to release "Spandau Modern" (M37, 137). [color=green]

[EDIT: Version number now up to V9 released ; Tue 29th Mar 2011, at 1301z].

This map is based on the wonderful original 'Berlin-Spandau-89' map from Rudiger & Marcel.

This map does not replace or change the original 'Spandau-89' map in any way. This is an additional map.

The map provides the following route, which come into effect in the real world on 1st May 2011:-

M37: Hahneberg - Sandstr - Rathaus Spandau - Spektefeld

M37: Hahneberg - Sandstr - Rathaus Spandau - Spektefeld - Waldkrankenhaus

137: Reimerweg - Maulbeerallee/Baluschekweg - Rathaus Spandau - Freudstr

This map also gives you:-

- Removal of Berlin Wall and Checkpoints at Hahneberg and near Freudstr, replaced with scenery.
- New scenery for Stadtrandstr and the Waldkrankenhaus (Forest Hospital)
- Changed scenery at Spektefeld
- New scenery at Maulbeerallee and Baluschekweg
- Other modernisation elements, such as electronic bus stop dispays at some stops

Enjoy brand new timetables and tours for these new routes (all of which differ from the 92).

IMPORTANT: Turn on the 'helper system' (Info markers) to learn the new routes.

IMPORTANT: Read the PDF Route Map doc (in the maps directory)

TIP: If when placing a new bus, one of the bus entry points doesn't appear (eg.. Spektefeld), it is because an AI bus is standing on the entry point for a moment when you've loaded the map. Simply come out of the 'new bus' screen, wait a few seconds, go back to 'new bus' and the entry point should be there. I will place more entry points in a future version to prevent this.

TIP: If you notice what looks like some areas of 'missing' scenery, turn up your 'map objects' settings in the Graphics options of OMSI.

- The "M37_137_Spandau" folder, from within the Omsi/maps directory.

- The M37_137_Spandau.HOF files from both the SD_200 and SD_202 folders, in the Omsi/Vehicles directory.

Very nice! But there is one problem: He says I was too late even I am two minutes earlier than the scheduled time! The problem appears after I stopped at the "Schulzentrum".

Where is the download for the updated bus repaint available?

Were you running a Hahneburg-Spektefeld tour? .... if so it's probably just the difference between the arrival and departure times. I wouldn't let it worry you too much

PS.... the BVG 2002 repaint shown in the map picture is available in the Bus Repaint section of this forum.

DAVID!!! you've smashed it, anyone unfamiliar with the term, it literally means what it says on the tin. This is uber exciting!!! - I've just done a run from Hahneberg which by the way looks superb, i nearly went round U Altstadt Spandau loop, so had to cut into the traffic as safely as possible to go all the way round, and the turn off from Faulkeneeser Strasse is just amazing, although the AI round that way doesn't seem to know what it's doing near Hohlenberg (i think it is) they sit there at the junction (i know the game isn't developed for the M37) but this is awesome!

I cant say anything to criticise it at all, i'd be stupid to do so.

Definately worth switching the Route Helper Markers on for your first few runs on this one.

Your most welcome, running at night the hospital feels a tad eerie round the back in the middle of knowhere yes it is nice to cut out the roundabout most definitely.

will there all the orignial Lines and Routes. For example M45 etc.? antoher KI traffic?

Ok bear with me on this one as I only had half hour this evening to try this out and then I can't get back on for 2-3 days, so desperately wanted to try it out. I think I found an issue but please bear in mind I was learning a new route so this could be me...

I went to spek.. can't remember the full name... anyways.. on my return journey it said my second stop on my timetable was U Rathaus Spandau?

Other than that... I LOVE what I see so far, just wish i had time to go back for more and try the rest out.. but I can see lots of changes, lots of great ammendments to the map in my very quick first glance. You have outshone yourself yet again!!!

You asked for people to say if they wanted the other bus stops recording for the announcements.. Yes I would love this if anyone else would too...

Ive noticed in the timetable, it says rathaus spandau straight after spektfield before IM spelktfield.. it happens for waldkrakenhaus to hanneberg.

Ive also noticed the IBIS2 onboard info is wrong(announcements + board). when I was on the 137 for reimerweg to freudstr, the board started from freudstr to reimerweg.
same with waldkrakenhaus to hanneberg, the board went from spektfield to hanneberg..

apart from this issues, its a great map david

I messed up on the automatic bit so I did actually type in the return route again, using your system of 3700 (route2) then 13728, this is when i got that on the timetable so I think it could be both ways sorry...

Anyways, I'm sure you'll have it all sorted out in V2.. give us all a chance to spot anything else though before you make v2.. I would hate for you to have to make v3 too lol... I hopefully will be back on it tues/wed. Can't wait to see the rest of it..

I'll take a look at these. Are you sure you're not jsut entering the wrong IBIS 'Route' code? ... it sounds like it, if the destinations are there but in reverse order...

...but I will check these now.

[EDIT: You're absolutely right, the destinations are the wrong way around in the IBIS lists for the 137 journeys. Thanks for spotting this. Just fixed it. V2 available at the top of the thread ]

Fixes:-

- Erroneous 'Rathaus Spandau' entry removed from timetable, trip database, and IBIS for southbound routes.

- Reversed destinations for Route Codes 05 and 06 corrected.

... in short, hopefully you won't see any IBIS or timetable errors now.

May have a look at this next........ my next project does relate to the 337. (You read my mind).

Regarding '03728'; I know this works for displaying M37 and the terminus, but it doesn't work with the 'route' part of IBIS, so still necessary to use '3700' first.
