FBW 549 sounding like a Volvo B10M

Thanks to Startrekkevster for the sound of the mighty Volvo THD101

Just need to figure out how to combine the Volvo engine with the FBW axle sounds & also fix the retarder scream

The sounds are great and also the repaint is awesone. Thanks for the sharing

hm i like that, sounds like a bus that runs by me, and thats one nice repaint, i might take a picture next time i'm near it so you can verify what bus it is cause that engine is as familiar as heck,

It might just be me, but one of the engine samples sounds like it's playing a bit too fast, I think I messed something up in the script

Sounds like a proper B10m when changing gears & the kick down sounds awesome!

I have those sounds in the SD200 Models, I was talking about your setup with this repaint.

All you would have to do is change the FBW sounds to B10M sounds of mine unless the mod includes new sound!

Should be 4 sounds for B10M. order is like this on all sound scripts:

(Sound Start-up)
(Sound-Shutdown)
(Sound Idle)
(Sound Low Rev)
(Sound Mid Rev)
(Sound High Rev)

The FBW config has another entry after the high rev.

This is the different headings in the FBW sound config

Zitat :

Well mate, why dont you release this at a mod? Im sure no one would mind as long as you have previous credits for the bus because the sounds are yours anyways!
Make it nice and easy for people to install and people would love this!
I must admit mate, i tried installing sounds from your sound pack into omsi myself and completely balls'd everything up =D

Apologies for not replying to the post sooner! right i used the script file from the SD86 with the working B10M sounds. All you would need to do is copy the file "FBW.BUS" & "Sound_FBW" (located in sounds folder) & rename to something else. EG "FBW-B10M.BUS.
&
"Sound_FBW-B10M"

Then on the line in the BUS file change:

[sound]
sound\Sound_FBW.cfg

Replace with:
"Sound_FBW-B10M"

ALSO: Please make sure you have changed the sounds in the script to that of the B10M!

I've had another go at trying to change the sounds by simply changing the names of the sounds in the original FBW sound config & the engine sounds are nothing like a B10M

I downloaded another sound pack by startrekkevster which also included the B10M sounds & a sound config for use with the SD81(its called Sound SD_81.cfg), the volvo sounds were already listed in the config & it works great with the FBW but there isn't any retarder sounds.

Just to make it clear, I did not record the sounds

Any chance of a download of this (livery and config for Volvo sounds)?

The livery will be available once the new bus routes are finished but I wont be releasing the sound config because I cant get the retarder noise to work, I haven't got a kin clue about the sound config files.

Please don't ask when will it be available to download, it'll be ready when i'm happy.

Great Sound ...

but may I ask if the B10M braking sound will be used, as it gives the bus sounds some realism, that one when you hear an air discharge and then a "valve" closing , I cannot really explain it in english,plus I am not at home...

It is the mercedes brake sound ...
