Hello,

Below I'd like to post some links with photos of common European buses used in America.
There are only three rules:
1. The image must be of decent quality, enabling to recognize the make and possibly model;
2. It cannot be a VanHool A300, AG300, A330 or AG330 as these are actually common and are not worth seeing for n'th time;
3. Post the links first, then try and describe the bus - give it a go in the way shown below.

So, my go:
1.1.: http://bus.nycsubway.org/perl/show?630
1.2.: http://bus.nycsubway.org/perl/show?626
1.3.: http://bus.nycsubway.org/perl/show?627
2.1.: http://bus.nycsubway.org/perl/show?1248
2.2.: http://bus.nycsubway.org/perl/show?1250
2.3.: http://bus.nycsubway.org/perl/show?1252
3.1.: http://bus.nycsubway.org/perl/show?1247

1. A MAN, possibly SG240, running in NYC.
2. A Leyland double-decker (I'm not sure of the model here - come and help me out Smile ), running in NYC - again!
3. Renault PR100 (I'm positive here!!) - NYC again.

I did get a shock when I saw the SG240 - but PR100 dropped my jaw. MTA have to find it now for me.

OK, guys, your go. And, by the way - feel free to comment as long as you keep them comments decent.

Regards.

Well here's my input

Firstly - a collage of 4 buses but we are only interested in two: http://rpmedia.ask.com/ts?u=/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/15/Coach_USA_sampler_Standard_Sightseeing_UK_Bus_livery_Megabus.jpg/300px-Coach_USA_sampler_Standard_Sightseeing_UK_Bus_livery_Megabus.jpg
We have a rare example of an Enviro double decker which has some limited use in Scotland, but mainly in use in Hong Kong, and on the Deuce route in Las Vegas, as well as some other sightseeing routes in the USA. This is despite the fact its a British built bus (not many in use at all here, sadly)
Also on that image, its not a European bus, but a European livery - people from the UK will recognise a British bus livery on an American bus...
(Of course the Van Hool and the MCI are not of interest for this thread)

Next one - http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4028/4528977651_c5db39f49c.jpg
Here we have a workhorse of suburban routes in Britain. It is the single deck version of the bus which is largely popular in London in particular (although it is now being phased out in favour of Enviro's). It is seen here in use in America.

Another British example - http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1060/1281565866_2da1b115e0.jpg http://coachbrakes.com/images/2385869272_b8ee5a2068.jpg
Winner of a Millennium Products award, this superlow floor bus features the front axle infront of the main door. It is in use here as an airport bus in American Eagle livery (presumably in place of a bendy bus)

And another.. - http://www.transportxtra.com/files/2904-l.jpg

The vehicle is one of 50 ordered by the RTC of South Nevada for use on its ACE Downtown Connector route in Las Vegas. The vehicles, which feature passenger information screens and bike racks, are powered by a state-of-the-art series hybrid drive
