Download Section

Hi. A suggestion for the forum moderators. I saw that some people have created custom content for download. Very great but it's better to create a new section to download custom content? For example "Download Area". Or not?'

I would suggest this today. I think it would be excellent.

A download area in the forum is a great idea, we have discussed that very often in the german section. Unfortunately, the hoster, "forumieren.com", doesn't provide any possibility to create a download section. Also - we aren't able to export all the threads and the posts of the forum, so we also can't use a better forum software.
The only way I can think of is a download area outside of the forum, Aerosoft has created one, have you already seen it?

A sticky topic would help temporarily. What do you think? I am avaiable to check if the download links are always on. As we have few mods made until now, that would be no problem. And this is a temporary solution, but it would help who is searching for mods.

I'll check this Aerosoft download section.

Simply I thought a new thread called "Download" instead of "General Discussion" with all downloadable content.

I think at this moment a lot new 3rd party buses are in development, hopefully it will be a dedicated place to download them.
For now I must say is very difficult to monitor all the projects on-going. An index of them will be nice.

I think things have gotten confused here. We're potentially talking about two different things;

1). A physicaly place to upload and host (ie... the Aerosoft facility)

2). Simply a new Forum setcion entitled 'User Downloads', where users post links to their files, which are uploaded elsewere, ie. Mediafire, etc.

.....Personally I think option (2) would be best for now; just one place here on the OMSI forum, to prevent user content getting 'lost' in the current "General Discussion" area.

I made a test to the Aerosoft Download uploading my 92N mod, but I didn't receive the approval yet. I saw a route mod (that obviously is much more complex than my simple mod) that was added. I really hope that Aerosoft give space to all kinds of modifications, not only big city mods, that wouldn't be so democratic. I know the Aerosoft team need to test it first, but I'm afraid they don't accept it.

How come I am unable to see any files in the OMSI download section in the aerosoft website?
